Streets Set To Close For Miami Beach Half Marathon

MIAMI BEACH (CBSMiami) -- Drivers in Miami Beach should be aware of street closures due to the Miami Beach Half Marathon.
The marathon is set to begin Sunday morning.
Starting at 6 a.m., NE 36th Street will close down eastbound from NE 2nd Avenue. The adjacent streets South and North of 36th Street will remain open.
Traffic heading North on NE 2nd Avenue will be closed from NE 14th Street to NE 36th Street.
Traffic heading South on NE 2nd Avenue will be permitted.
Northeast 14th Street heading East will be closed from NE 2nd Avenue to N. Bayshore Drive.
For those who take public transportation, Miami-Dade Transit buses that normally travel along NE 2nd Avenue will be re-routed.
Motorists are urged to take alternate routes.
Streets are set to reopen at 10 a.m.
