Steering You Right: Palmetto Expressway Closures This Week
MIAMI (CBSMiami) - Another traffic alert for drivers who use the Palmetto Expressway.
The northbound and southbound lanes of SR 826 at NW 25th Street will be closed Tuesday night at 11 p.m. and re-open Wednesday morning at 5 a.m. A second closure of these lanes is scheduled for Thursday night from midnight to 5:30am.
Also, the northbound and southbound exit ramps to NW 25th Street will be closed nightly through Thursday from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m.
The closures will allow the contractor erect bridge support girders over SR 826 as part of the NW 25th Street Viaduct Project.
If the work is not completed due to bad weather or other unforeseen conditions, the closures will occur on the following night.
One lane from eastbound I-595 between 136th Avenue and Nob Hill Road will be closed nightly from 9 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. and two lanes will be closed from 11:30 p.m. to 5 a.m. beginning through Wednesday, Nov. 27.
