Steering You Right: Closures This Week Impact MIA, Don Shula Expressway
MIAMI (CBSMiami) – Catching a flight out of Miami International Airport this week?
If it's a night time flight or one early, early in the morning you need to be aware that the westbound and eastbound exit and entrance ramps for the airport at Le Jeune Road will be closed from 9 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. each day until Friday.
This week there will be closures on State Road 878/Snapper Creek Expressway. All westbound lanes between Galloway Road and the Don Shula Expressway, and the westbound exit ramp to Kendall Drive will be closed nightly until Saturday from 9 p.m. to 5:30 a.m.
And speaking of the Don Shula Expressway, all northbound lanes from Kendall Drive to the Palmetto Expressway will be closed nightly from Wednesday night through Sunday. You won't have access to the lanes from 9 p.m. to 5:30 a.m.
You've probably noticed a big construction closure if you live in Broward County. The on-ramp from Griffin Road to northbound Florida's Turnpike has been closed since Friday. It'll stay closed all day and night until this Friday.
And important information for drivers on I-95. The northbound I-95 ramp to eastbound I-395 will be shut down again tonight. Drivers should continue driving north and follow detours using State Road 112. The lanes will reopen at 5:30 a.m. tomorrow.
