Steaks Vs. Stone Crabs Bet Over NBA Finals
MIAMI (CBSMiami) – It wouldn't be a championship series without some local politicians placing a friendly wager. Monday, Miami-Dade Mayor Carlos Gimenez and Oklahoma City Mayor Mick Cornett got into the betting spirit.
According to CBS4 news partner, if the Miami Heat win the NBA Championship, Mayor Cornett will ship some premium steaks from Oklahoma to Miami-Dade County.
On the other hand, if the Oklahoma City Thunder hoist the Larry O'Brien trophy, Mayor Gimenez will ship South Beach's famous Joe's stone crabs to Oklahoma, according to the Herald.
Last year, Texas Governor Rick Perry wagered a case of barbecue sauce against Governor Rick Scott's key lime pie.
If it's not too late, some good ol' Texas barbecue sauce might not be bad on one of those steaks!
