State Officials: Swimmers Beware Of Rip Currents
TALLAHASSEE (CBSMiami) – South Florida is one of those places where ocean-swimming is still a pastime in the month of November. But, Florida's emergency managers are warning swimmers of a high risk of rip currents through Tuesday.
There is a moderate-to-high risk of rip currents, according to the state's Division of Emergency Management, along the state's Atlantic coast.
The risk of rip currents is expected to last through Tuesday from Nassau County south through Miami-Dade County.

A meteorologist with the agency says persistent onshore winds and high waves are raising the risk of rip currents along all of Florida's east coast beaches this weekend. The weather conditions may also be hazardous for small boats.
