South Florida to experience beautiful, cooler weather this weekend
MIAMI -- A beautiful weekend ahead in South Florida! After the coolest morning so far this season, temperatures will warm nicely into the lower 80s this afternoon under a partly sunny sky. It won't be quite as cool tonight, with lows set to fall into the lower 70s across the coast and some 60s inland.
High pressure to our north will continue to keep conditions mainly dry through Tuesday. Temperatures and humidity will gradually increase through the start of the work week.
This warmup comes ahead of our next cold front set to move through Wednesday. This front will be even stronger than the front that moved through Friday night and merged with the remnant moisture of Tropical Storm Sara. These two features combined will lead to a line of rain returning to the area on Wednesday.
The front will clear out by Wednesday night. Cold and dry air will fill back into the region behind the front Thursday into the start of next weekend, where highs will only top off in the middle 70s. In fact, by Friday and Saturday morning, we will likely see our first 50-degree lows of the season across most of South Florida.
