South Florida Parties Super Bowl Style
MIAMI (CBS4) - South Florida football fans spent Sunday celebrating the big game.
Whether you were a Baltimore Ravens fan or a San Francisco 49ers backer, it was a chance to see two powerhouse teams compete for the championship.
Dozens of people packed the Ale House in North Miami Beach.
"It's a time for us to get together and celebrate, football, life everything," said Angela Brinson.
Brison said she and her group have been getting together to party for Super Bowl the last five years.
"Ray Lewis is a great linebacker. It's his last game so it would be appropriate to go out as a winner," said Raven fan Chris Traney.
Then the party crashed with the Super Bowl blackout in the 3rd quarter. The Ravens had been dominating up until halftime, and many fans worried the Ravens would lose their momentum.
"We were really excited and then it through off our emotions," said Brad Geiger watching the game at Wavy O'Connor's on 17th street in Ft. Lauderdale.
But in the end Super Bowl 47 belonged to the Ravens who beat the 49ers, 34 to 31.
