Something Extra: Why I Have Bieber Fever Too
MIAMI (CBS4) - Tonight, I will join my daughter and millions of teenage girls across the country and confess, I have Bieber fever too.
I've been a hard convert... Justin Bieber's music and hair don't do much for me.
But there is no denying the kid has a heart of gold.
Six year old Avalanna Routh has an extremely rare and aggressive form of cancer she's battled all her life. And she loves Justin Bieber. She loves him so much, she's become known as "Mrs. Bieber" after nurses in Boston threw a pretend wedding for her with a cardboard cutout of the groom.
When Bieber learned of his little fan, he made Avalanna the envy of girls everywhere by flying her and her family to New York yesterday for a date. They played board games, ate cupcakes and she even styled the famous hair.
Bieber has repeatedly shown his generosity and his gratitude toward his fans.
Let's hope even more celebrities follow his example and that his wonderful act of charity will give a very sick little girl the inspiration she needs to fight her awful disease.
