Snowbird Heats Things Up In Casino
COCONUT CREEK (CBS4) - A New Yorker seeking refuge in the South Florida sun will leave with something more valuable than a tan in winter.
For the past eight years, Lucia Fulgenzi of White Plains, N.Y., has beaten the bitter cold with a vacation in the Greater Fort Lauderdale area. Lucia, in the company of friends and family, has made a habit of starting of her annual getaway with a trip to the Seminole Casino in Coconut Creek, according to the Sun Sentinel.
During the group's routine casino trip on Monday, Fulgenzi came upon a little something that may have made her 2011 trip a lot more memorable. After feeding the Bankroll Bonus slot machine a couple of bucks, she won a gracious sum totaling $210,589.61.
"I still don't believe it," said Fulgenzi who stashed the money in the bank shortly after her first-ever win.
