Snatch And Dash Robbery Caught On Camera
MIAMI (CBSMiami) – Miami Police have released the surveillance video of a snatch and dash robbery that took place in early September.
The incident took place September 5, just after 1 a.m. at 2735 Northwest 7th Street.
According to detectives, a woman and a man were buying items at the Marathon Gas Station walk-up night window.
The video showed a man driving a late model silver Volkswagen Jetta arrive. The driver approached the two from behind and appears to snatch the woman's wallet from her hand. The two tried to fight back, but the man got away with the wallet.
The Jetta has dark tins and after-market chrome rims. The suspect, according to police, is described as a white Hispanic man between 25 and 30-years-old and approximately 5 feet 8 inches to 5 feet 11 inches tall weighing 170 to 200 pounds.
