Smile for the (Red Light) Cameras in Hollywood

As more and more cities in Broward discuss jumping on the red-light camera bandwagon to raise revenue, the city of Hollywood is reminding residents that they've installed red light cameras at several intersections.

The cameras are in place at:

Northbound SR 7 at Sheridan Street

Eastbound Hollywood Blvd at SR 7

Westbound Hollywood Blvd at SR 7

Northbound SR 7 at Hollywood Blvd

Northbound SR 7 at Washington Street

Another intersection -- Westbound Pembroke Road at SR 7 -- will soon receive the cameras.

The cameras have been in operation since December 9, however, no tickets are being give out just yet. The city is holding a courtesy warning period until January 9.

After that, a ticket for running a red light will cost you $158.
