Sketches Released Of Men Who Robbed, Shot Miami Woman
MIAMI (CBSMiami) –A Miami woman who was robbed and shot during a home invasion is improving and is expected to make a full recovery. In addition, police said, she has given detectives a detailed description of the two men who attacked her.
Police say the two men robbed a woman while she was at her home on NW 69th Avenue just off Flagler Wednesday afternoon.
Police say one of the robbers shot the woman in the neck before they left. After she was shot, police say she ran to a nearby beauty salon for help, holding a towel to her neck to stop the bleeding. Now police say she has recovered enough to help them in their search for suspects.
She described the men who robbed her and police are asking people to pay close attention.
CBS4's Maggie Newland took the sketches to the neighborhood where the crime happened. Neighbors who talked to us said they don't recognize the men.
Mayra Fernandez, who lives next door to the woman who was shot, says her neighborhood is normally quiet and the victim was a nice woman who never had any problems with anyone. She said neighbors are nervous now. Fernandez told us she plans to show the sketches to all her neighbors to see if anyone recognizes the suspect sketches.
