Sketch Released Of Suspect Who Shot Man Over Cell Phone
MIAMI (CBS4) -- Miami Police have an important new clue in the case of a man who was shot over his cell phone. Police have released a sketch of the suspect who shot 24-year-old Michael Jones in an attempt to take his cell phone.
Jones, a security guard, was walking to work on April 17th across the field of Charles Hadley Park in the area of NW 12th Avenue and 47th Terrace around 8:30 p.m. Suddenly, a man approached him and demanded his cell phone. When Jones refused, the man pulled out a shotgun and shot him in the stomach, according to police.
Jones, the father of a seven month old daughter, was rushed to Jackson Memorial Hospital where he remains in stable condition.
