Shots Fired On Highway Shuts Down I-95
HOLLYWOOD (CBS4) -- The southbound lanes of Interstate 95 just north of Hollywood Boulevard are shut down due to an on-going shooting investigation.
Hollywood Police Lt. Manny Marino says an 18 year-old motorist was driving on the highway near Johnson Street when someone in another car opened fire, striking him. The victim lost control of his car and crashed near the Hollywood Blvd. exit.
The victim was transported to Memorial Regional Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Police are still looking for the shooter, who is said to be driving a dark colored sedan. A motive for the shooting is unknown at this time.
