Sheen Show Set For Sunrise
MIAMI (CBS4) - Outside of the Miami Heat, South Florida is pretty much devoid of winners. But, that will change on April 23 when a "winner" makes his way to the Bank Atlantic Center in Sunrise.
Charlie Sheen is bringing his stage show, "My Violent Torpedo of Truth/Defeat is Not An Option," to South Florida. What that means is as much of a mystery as drinking "tigerblood."
Sunrise is one of the stops on the tour that starts in Detroit, which for winners is a tough sell. It then moves on to Chicago and then to South Florida.
Sheen has been the butt of plenty of jokes and ridicule since his very public meltdown of a career.
He's been fired by Warner Brothers, lost his television show, temporarily lost custody of his kids, and is now living with at least one porn star.
But to Sheen, who says he drinks "#tigerblood," still says he's "#WINNING." Of course that may be the same kind of winning Dolphins' fans experienced when watching the team play at home last year.
Sheen may just end up winning though because he's developed a cult following online that he's going to try and transfer to ticket sales.
Tickets for Sheen's South Florida performance go on sale Saturday at 10 a.m. at all Ticketmaster outlets. Price is $49.50-$89.50. His first shows in Detroit and Chicago sold out in 18 minutes.
Sheen sums up his promo message for the show this way: "Will there be surprises? Will there be guests? Will there be mayhem? Will you ask questions? Will you laugh? Will you scream? Will you know the truth?"
But, if he doesn't bring it for his first two shows, the South Florida show may have the same attendance the Marlins see every night.
