Shaquille O'Neal Sworn In As Golden Beach Police Officer

GOLDEN BEACH (CBS4) - Former NBA superstar center Shaquille O'Neal has another job to add to his ever-growing resume.

According to CBS4 News partner The Miami Herald, Shaq was officially sworn in as a part-time Golden Beach Police officer Tuesday during a ceremony in front of city mayor Glenn Singer.

The former Miami Heat star, who was also once a reserve officer for Miami Beach's force, reunited with his former boss, Police Chief Don DeLucca. DeLucca was once the chief of the MBPD.

As for his role as law enforcement in the city, that has yet to be determined. Shaq currently serves as a contributor to TNT's 'Inside The NBA" studio show during the NBA season.

"I'm not sure when exactly he'll be on [but] I do know that he has been brought on as a part-time reserve officer with the Town though," a city representative told the paper.
