Shaq Set To Play In Game 3
MIAMI (CBSMiami.com) – The Boston Celtics will get a large reinforcement when they take on the Miami Heat in Game 3 of the Eastern Conference semifinals.
Celtics coach Doc Rivers said Shaquille O'Neal will likely come off the bench and play during Game 3. O'Neal has missed 27 games with a sore right calf.
Rivers said barring a setback, O'Neal will play on Saturday. O'Neal had returned on April 4, but re-injured his calf after just 5 minutes of action.
O'Neal has played a total of 37 games this season. He averaged 20 minutes a game and scored 9 points and pulled down 5 rebounds per game.
While O'Neal will bring a big body to the floor, his impact could be minimal if the Heat choose to run the floor and exhaust the big man early and often.
