Harris' attorney Huntley Johnson says "I am pleased for Treon Harris and his family. I am not going to speculate on what the university will do next."
University spokesperson Janine Sikes says in a statement that the school will "have more information on his football status later in the day."
Harris, a freshman from Miami, was banned from team activities Monday while authorities investigate the allegations made against him. The school said Harris was accused of sexually assaulting a female student around 3 a.m. Sunday — hours after he helped Florida rally to beat Tennessee 10-9 in Knoxville — at an on-campus residence hall.
Harris was not arrested or charged with a crime.
