Police Search For Rental Center Burglars
MIAMI (CBS4) - Miami police are going over what they know as they search for four men who burglarized a furniture/appliance rental center early Monday morning.
Miami police spokesman Detective Willie Moreno said an off-duty Opa Locka police officer stumbled across the burglary in progress at NW 83rd Street and 7th Avenue. As the burglars split into two groups and took off, the officer followed one of the cars, a silver Nissan, until the men bailed out about two blocks later near NE 81st Street.
Police recovered the Nissan, which was reportedly listed as stolen, and found items from the store inside. They are currently looking for the second car, a white Nissan Maxima, and the four men who were described as being in the late teens to mid-20s.
