Search For Burglary Duo Leads To Trio
MIAMI (CBSMiami) – Police believe they found one of the men responsible for two burglaries last week and at the same time arrested two additional people for other crimes too.
Two men were captured on surveillance video Monday afternoon burglarizing a home.
One of the alleged burglars, Johnny Carvajal, 38, was arrested and charged with the crimes at 718 Southwest 26 Road just after noon, September 9, 2013.
A witness in the area noticed a dark colored car in the driveway of the home.
According to that witness, when the car was approached, the driver yelled for another person to come outside of the home.
The man came out of the home with a pillowcase filled with jewelry and money with a value of more than $50,000.
The men left that scene and went to 540 Southwest 25 Road, also in Miami, where they allegedly committed another burglary.
The second man wanted for the burglaries has not been located.

However, a car matching the description led police to Carvajal and while investigating the vehicle, police learned it was stolen.
When officers located Carvajal, they also found Jacqueline Garcia, 40, and charged here with one count of grand theft auto and Howard Jaime, 37, for an outstanding bench warrant on petit theft.
Anyone with information about the crimes or the whereabouts of the other burglary suspect should call (305) 471-TIPS.
