Tropical Storm Moving Slowly Toward The West
MIAMI (CBSMiami.com) – Tropical Storm Sean continues on it's westward trek toward Bermuda Tuesday night.
At 10 p.m., the system was about 440 miles southwest of Bermuda. Sean's maximum sustained winds had decreased from 55 mph to 50 mph. Tropical storm force winds extended 275 miles from Sean's center, mainly to its north.
Sean was moving to the west-northwest at near 3 mph and the National Hurricane Center said this motion will continue into Tuesday night. On Wednesday it is forecast to take a turn to the northwest. Some strengthening is expected in the next 48 hours.
A Tropical Storm Watch has been posted for Bermuda which could see tropical storm conditions late Thursday.
Swells generated by Sean are expected to affect portions of southeastern coast of the U.S.
