School Bus Rear-Ended In Opa-locka
MIAMI (CBSMiami) – Nearly a dozen Miami-Dade middle school students on their way to class Monday morning took a detour to the hospital after their school bus was involved in an accident.
It happened around 9 a.m. at the intersection of NW 37th Avenue and Langley Road in Opa-locka when a car rear-ended the bus.
Miami-Dade Schools' spokesman John Schuster said the bus was taking the students to Palm Springs Middle in Hialeah. A total of 11 students were taken to several different hospitals, including Palmetto General and Jackson North, for observation.
The driver of the bus refused to taken to the hospital.
