Man Shot,Killed On I-95
FT. LAUDERDALE (CBSMiami) – Broward Sheriff's investigators are trying to determine what led to a deadly shooting on I-95 Sunday morning.
Around 6:40 a.m., the sheriff's office received 9-1-1 calls about shots being fired on southbound I-95 in Oakland Park.
When deputies arrived, they found a silver Buick that had crashed into a guard rail on the southbound onramp at Commercial Boulevard. Deputies and Oakland Park Fire Rescue extinguished a fire in the engine compartment. The driver was dead inside the car.
Sheriff's spokeswoman Dani Moschella did not release any information on the person who was shot.
Sheriff's investigators closed all southbound lanes of I-95 to traffic for several hours during their investigation. All lanes were re-opened just before 11 a.m. Northbound traffic was not affected.
