S. Fla. Man Sentenced For Sexually Assaulting A Chihuahua
FORT LAUDERDALE (CBSMiami) – An Oakland Park man was sentenced Friday to one year and one day in jail for a sexual encounter of the animal kind.
Tomas Bautista, 40, was arrested in February for animal cruelty after he sexually assaulted his roommate's dog Mimi. Mimi is a Chihuahua.
According to the Broward Sheriff's Office, the bizarre encounter took place one night after Bautista came home drunk. According to the police report, Bautista's roommate told him to head for bed.
Instead, Bautista headed for the yard, and BSO said Mimi followed him.
A short time later, the roommate told investigators, he heard Mimi yelping in the yard. He said he grabbed a flashlight and ran into the yard, where he saw his tiny dog running from his roommate.
The dog was bleeding, and Bautista had his pants down, passed out in the yard.
Mimi's owner called the cops, and rushed the dog to Coral Springs Animal hospital.
Deputies roused Bautista from his stupor, and their report said he admitted assaulting Mimi. Despite his state of undress, he claimed to have only used his finger for the assault.
That didn't matter to deputies, who charged Bautista with cruelty to animals, a 3rd degree felony.
