MIAMI (CBSMiami) – CBS4 evening anchor Rudabeh Shahbazi hasn't been in town a year yet, but that hasn't stopped her from becoming one of the most prominent personalities on television.
Last month Shahbazi was named one of Ocean Drive's eight most influential women, a list that featured local, high-profile women such as actress Gabrielle Union, who is married to the Miami Heat's Dwyane Wade.
Now Shahbazi has received another honor as she was named Best TV News Anchor by the Miami New Times in their annual Best of Miami awards.
Since arriving in South Florida in the summer of 2015, Shahbazi has interviewed leaders of the community and covered world events, such as the opening of the American embassy in Cuba.
She also spearheads CBS4's weekly segment "Mentoring Matters" where she brings us stories about mentors who work to inspire young people and make a difference in their lives.
Additionally, Shahbazi hosts CBS4 weekly show "Focus on South Florida" which highlights a bevy of local topics, from public events and political leaders to student activities and accolades.
