Rubio & Craig Romney Heading To FIU Friday
MIAMI (CBSMiami) – President Barack Obama will be in Miami Thursday looking to shore up support for his re-election campaign. But Friday, Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney's son Craig and Florida Senator Marco Rubio will head to FIU to campaign for the GOP.
Senator Rubio and Craig Romney will both be speaking at a forum at the FIU College of Law Atrium at 11:00 A.M. Friday. According to the GOP statement, the duo will discuss education, jobs, immigration, and economic policy during the forum.
FIU students can pick up tickets to the event at the FIU College Republicans Registration Table Thursday between 10 A.M. and 5 P.M. in the Green Library Breezeway.
Candidate Romney has enjoyed a resurgence in the polls after a solid debate performance last week. Romney's running mate, Vice Presidential nominee Paul Ryan, will look to follow up last week's performance by Romney when he takes on Vice-President Joe Biden in a debate Thursday night.
