Ros-Lehtinen Says Clinton To Testify On Benghazi
WASHINGTON (CBSMiami) – South Florida Congresswoman Ileana Ros-Lehtinen said Thursday that Secretary of State Hillary Clinton agreed to testify before Congress about the Benghazi, Libya attack.
Ros-Lehtinen, who heads the House foreign affairs committee, said Clinton will testify about the attacks once the State Department's internal review of the attack is completed.
Congress has begun piecing together details surrounding the September attack, which claimed the lives of four Americans, including the U.S. ambassador to Libya:
Ros-Lehtinen said the report should be completed in December, but the State Department did not confirm the Congresswoman's announcement.
State Department officials said the review may not be finished until January, which would delay Clinton from testifying into the new year.
