S.R. 836 Closure Delayed Again
MIAMI (CBSMiami) – The planned closure of a section of SR 836 Wednesday night into Thursday has been delayed.
The Florida Department of Transportation had originally planned to close all eastbound and westbound lanes from Northwest 57 Avenue to Northwest 72 Avenue between 11 p.m. and 5 a.m., to allow for the installation of an overhead message sign structure. The NW 57 Avenue entrance ramp to westbound SR 836 and the 72 Avenue ramp to eastbound SR 836 was also scheduled to be closed. Wednesday afternoon, however, DOT said the closures would be moved to Thursday.
The postponement will also push back a second round of overnight closures which will involve all westbound lanes of SR 836 from Northwest 57 Avenue to Northwest 72 Avenue in order to fasten an electronic message board to the sign structure. The NW 57 Avenue ramp to westbound SR 836 will also be closed during this time period.
