Richt On Kaaya: "He Understands The System, I Think He's Ready To Go"
Miami Hurricanes head football coach Mark Richt joined the Joe Rose Show on 560 WQAM to discuss Muhammad-Grace being removed from the football program, the mental-physical toughness of the football team, the progress of Miami's wide receivers since spring practices and his excitement to start calling plays starting this Saturday against FAMU.
"It's sad that it happened but there was something being investigated for a while and it got to the end of the line and a decision had to be made and through some consultation from an outside source who is very tied to the NCAA."
"It was made by our administration, lawyers from our university council, we had the advisor and athletic association basically made the final call."
"I think we're tougher physically and mentally than we were in the spring, the big thing is how tough are we going to be when adversity strikes."
"I think he's [Brad Kaaya] improved throwing to his left, just working the pocket and trusting the pocket. He understands the system; I think he's ready to go."
