Richt On Canes Win: "We Made It A Point This Week To Start Faster"
Miami Hurricanes head football coach, Mark Richt joined the Joe Rose Show on 560 WQAM to discuss the team's win over Pittsburgh, the breakout performance by the offense that was led by Brad Kayaa and Mark Walton and looking ahead to their upcoming matchup against Virginia.
On preparing for the game- "We've been practicing hard each week and we've been coming close. We made it a point this week to start faster."
On the O-Line- "We did a little more max protection, we have run those throughout the season but we featured more of them because of the way they play defense. If you know its man coverage, max it up."
On Brad Kaaya- "When we did get the one-on-one shots he put the ball where they could make catches. He was spot on with the deep balls and that was huge."
On Ahmmon Richards- "We knew there would be some matchups there. He's blossomed, he hasn't hit the wall for us and that has to do with his maturity on and off the field."
