Report: Wade Set To Host High-End Fantasy Camp
MIAMI (CBSMiami.com) – How would you like to play Dwyane Wade 1-on-1? You can do just that if you've got $12,500, are at least 35-years-old and have some free time in August.
According to Darren Rovell of CNBC.com, Dwyane Wade will let you bring your talents to South Beach for a fantasy camp to be held August 18-21 at the Fontainebleau Hotel. The hotel's ballrooms will be fitted with basketball courts for the camp, Rovell reported.
The camp will replace the one Michael Jordan used to offer. Since Wade is also under the Jordan brand, campers will get a jersey, sweats, personalized shoes, and possibly some high-end swag like a ring or some other piece of jewelry.
The report said the camp is sponsored by the Jordan brand, Gatorade and T-Mobile. Wade is a spokesman for all three companies.
According to the report, Wade will be joined by TNT broadcaster Charles Barkley, Heat head coach Erik Spoelstra, and Marquette head basketball coach Buzz Williams. Wade played college basketball at Marquette.
