Report: UM Tests Baseball Team For HGH
MIAMI (CBS/AP) - The University of Miami's baseball team has reportedly been tested for human growth hormone, a source has told the Associated Press. The testing, if accurate, would be the first for HGH at the school.
According to the AP's source, the results of the test have not been received by the school as of Wednesday.
The AP said that Miami's link to a performance-enhancing drug scandal sparked the move for additional testing.
The scandal was first reported by the Miami New Times who linked Hurricanes Strength Coach Jimmy Goins to a clinic that was allegedly providing performance-enhancing drugs to players including New York Yankees slugger Alex Rodriguez.
