Report: Oprah Taping Could Bump Potential Bulls-Heat Matchup
CHICAGO (CBS4) – If the Miami Heat face-off against the Chicago Bulls in the Eastern Conference finals, it would be a star-studded affair, but it can't take place until a much bigger star has her say.
Daytime talk show queen Oprah Winfrey, whose wrapping up her hugely popular talk show this month, has rented out Chicago's United Center Monday for the taping of one of her final shows.
According to CBS4 News partner The Miami Herald, the NBA informed a "few involved parties" that if both the Bulls and Heat win their series in six or fewer games, Game 1 of the Eastern Conference finals would need to be moved from a Monday start to a Sunday start.
The move would need to be made because on that Monday, crews will be setting up for the taping of one of Oprah Winfrey's final shows at the United Center.
Now that the Heat has won their series in 5 games, it all depends on Thursday night's game between the Hawks and Bulls. If Chicago wins, the Heat-Bulls Game 1 match-up will be Sunday. If the Hawks win, the conference finals wouldn't start wouldn't start until Wednesday.
