Report: Minor League Players Helping MLB Biogenesis Case
NEW YORK (CBSMiami) – Major League Baseball players implicated in the Biogenesis scandal have largely remained quiet about the charges, but minor league players have been discussing their interactions with Anthony Bosch of Miami with MLB investigators, according to Yahoo! Sports.
Bosch's clinic is alleged to have supplied to performance enhancing drugs to multiple baseball players including Alex Rodriguez and Ryan Braun. While the major league stars have vowed to fight, the minor league players have reportedly talked openly about Bosch.
According to Yahoo!, the minor league players were under the threat of suspensions and decided to give testimony to investigators that Major League Baseball will use as proof of Bosch's claims.
Bosch only recently agreed to work with Major League Baseball's investigators after denying any involvement with the PED scandal for months. The original story implicating Bosch, A-Rod, and others was broken by the Miami New Times in late January.
Yahoo! also reported that other big name players may be implicated if Bosch breaks down and reveals everything about his past with players.
