MIAMI (CBSMiami) – December is always an interesting time in the world of college football.

The time between the regular season ending and bowl games beginning is usually when players eligible for the NFL Draft decide whether or not to stay in school.

There are a few Miami Hurricanes that fall into that category, but the one getting the most attention is quarterback Brad Kaaya.

Kaaya, a junior, has started every single game for the Hurricanes since his freshman year.

He's thrown for over 3,000 yards in each season and has a total of 65 touchdowns and just 21 interceptions.

While an official decision on whether Kaaya will forgo his senior season and head to the NFL has yet to be made, a report emerged on Thursday indicating he may choose to go pro.

According to Matt Miller of Bleacher Report, Kaaya is "leaning" towards heading to the draft, though a final decision has not been made.

Kaaya must make a decision by January 16th so he still has some time to consider things.

For the most part, Kaaya is viewed by draft analysts as a mid-round pick.  As a whole, the quarterback position isn't considered strong in the 2017 draft class.

Other quarterbacks likely heading to the NFL are Clemson's Deshaun Watson, North Carolina's Mitch Trubisky and Notre Dame's Deshone Kizer.
