Report: Broward Drug Court Judge Heading To Rehab
FORT LAUDERDALE (CBSMiami) — Another Broward County judge is in trouble and this one will be heading to rehab after acting erratically while at work Tuesday, according to the South Florida Sun-Sentinel.
Broward County Judge Gisele Pollack was on the bench for an hour before leaving abruptly Tuesday; and was later seen yelling at her assistant for her car keys to be returned, according to the Sun-Sentinel. Pollack was absent from the bench on Wednesday.
Pollack, according to the Sun-Sentinel, has openly battled alcoholism in the past and upon returning to work Thursday told the Sun-Sentinel that she suffered a relapse and was seeking professional help. Pollack is reportedly going to a two-week outpatient program to deal with the problem.
According to the Sun-Sentinel, the Broward County State Attorney's Office and the Broward Public Defender's Office refused to describe what happened in the courtroom Tuesday.
