Report: A-Rod Sells Miami Beach Home For $30 Million
MIAMI BEACH (CBSMiami) – He's not been on the baseball field this year, but New York Yankees slugger Alex Rodriguez is still pocketing plenty of cash. But it's not the Yankees giving A-Rod his latest payday, but rather a home buyer in South Florida.
According to TMZ.com, Rodriguez accepted a $30 million offer for his Miami Beach home that he originally bought in 2010 for $7.4 million. The 19,861 square foot home has nine bedrooms, 11 bathrooms, a 4-car garage, Zen garden, and state of the art security, according to TMZ.
A-Rod put more than $7 million in construction into the house and will end up with a $15 million profit from the purchase and sale. TMZ said the buyer is believed to be a celebrity who currently lives in West Palm Beach.
In case you were wondering, between his salary from the Yankees and the sale of his home, A-Rod will pocket a pre-tax income of $59 million.
