Relentless Rain Causes Flood Of Trouble

OAKLAND PARK (CBSMiami) – Thursday morning's relentless rain has caused a flood of trouble in various parts of Broward County including Oakland Park.

Chopper 4 flew over different streets where cars and trucks had to slow down to a crawl in order to drive through deep flood water.

Several roads were affected by the deep water including NE 6th Avenue at Prospect Road, NE 3rd Avenue north of Park Lane East to NE 40th Street.

NE 5th and 6th Avenues in the warehouse district, south of Prospect Road and north of Park Lane East, NE 12th Terrace, south of Commercial Boulevard and north of Florinada Road, NE 61st Street between NE 6th Avenue and NE 2nd Avenue.

Flood warning signs have also been placed along NE 56th Street from Dixie Highway to NE 6th Avenue in front of Northeast High School.

South Florida remains under a Flood Watch until 8:00 p.m.
