Ray Allen Seeks Legal Action Against Intruders In Trespassing Incident
MIAMI (CBSMiami) — Former Miami Heat player Ray Allen and his wife are seeking legal action against a group of intruders.
Coral Gables Police said seven young adults crashed their Tahiti Beach home around 2:30 a.m. on Thursday.
The teens were charged with misdemeanor trespassing after an investigation revealed that there wasn't any intent to commit a crime. Now, the Allens have hired an attorney.
On Saturday, Allen released a statement saying, "Miami is our home and we are proud to be active members in this community. We pray that no one else has to endure this kind of intrusion on their home or their families' safety. Everyone deserves to feel safe in their own homes."

On Thursday, Allen's wife, Shannon Walker Allen told police she was awakened when she overheard the group of intruders discussing her personal property.
Police said the teen's were in the neighborhood attending a party.

"They all thought Ray Allen had moved. They wanted to go see a Miami Heat player home, inside his house, and when they found an unlocked door, walked in and looked around to see what was going on," said Coral Gables Police Officer Kelly Denham on Thursday.
Police said the teens have no priors and nothing was taken from the home.
