Prosecutor Ordered To Turn Over "Little Black Book"
DETROIT (CBS4) - Federal prosecutors have been ordered to turn over a computer disc which reportedly contains the names of more 30-thousand customers of Miami based prostitution ring which allegedly supplied high-priced call girls for clients in the U.S., Mexico, Columbia and Costa Rica.
The request for the disc was made by a defense attorney for Greg Carr who is charged with conspiring to run a prostitution ring through his company – Miami Companions. Carr, his ex-wife and others were indicted last year in Detroit which, according to prosecutors, was one of the agency's hottest towns for business. Carr's ex-wife and an office manager have already pled guilty in the case.
Assistant U.S. Attorney Jennifer Blackwell describes the disc as Carr's "so-called black book".
Blackwell had only wanted Carr's attorney, Paul DeCailly, to be allowed to only take notes from the disc, and then, only in the presence of investigators. Blackwell said there was concern the disc, which includes names, email addresses and sexual preferences, would be used to harass Carr's former customers.
The judge, however, ordered her to share it with DeCailly under strict conditions.
