Prosecution Releases Discovery In Trayvon Martin Shooting Case
SANFORD (CBSMiami/AP) – Prosecutors in the George Zimmerman murder trial have released nearly 70 compact discs containing their witness list, photos, numerous hard copy documents, medical records, 9-1-1 call recordings, etc. to the defense.
Zimmerman's attorney Mark O'Mara commented Monday evening on a legal defense site he created for his client that it would be "inappropriate" for them to issue an immediate comment on "particular pieces of evidence."
Zimmerman, a neighborhood watch volunteer, has pleaded not guilty to a second-degree murder charge in the Feb. 26 shooting of the 17-year-old Martin. Zimmerman claims he shot the teenager in self-defense.
