Proposal Takes Aim At Mail-Order Prescriptions
MIAMI (CBSMiami) -- A Senate Republican filed a new bill on Thursday aimed at barring health plans from requiring customers to get prescriptions only from mail-order pharmacies.
The proposal (SB 1384) filed by Senator Rene Garcia (R-Hialeah), would prevent health plans from tacking on additional co-payments, if customers choose not to use mail-order pharmacies.
The bill would apply to insurance policies and health-maintenance contracts.
