WEST MIAMI-DADE (CBSMiami) -- The West Miami-Dade skyline is taking on a familiar appearance as the rides, tents and attractions go up for the annual Miami-Dade County Fair and Exposition.
Preparations are in full swing as the fair prepares to open on Thursday, March 12th.
The Miami-Dade County Fair and Exposition is ranked the largest in the state of Florida and will be celebrating its 64th year when it kicks off its 21-day run.
This is the first time it's ever been open for 21 days, instead of 18. The only days they are closed are March 16, 17 and 30, 31.
The Fair, which features rides, live performances, fair food, and livestock and agricultural competitions, attracts more than half a million visitors every year and exhibits the academic and artistic work of more than 45,000 local students.
Be sure to save the dieting for later because the food vendors are bringing back all the fair favorites including elephant ears, roasted corn, candy apples, and more.
General admission is $12 for adults and children, free for children five years of age and younger but there are plenty of deals to be had on admission and tickets.
The Pay One Price Unlimited Ride Card is $28 weekdays, $35 on weekends.
