First off, the Powerball jackpot currently sits at $360 million. Lots of people have bought extra tickets for Wednesday night's drawing. If they hit it big, the cash value of the jackpot is nearly $230 million.
Also on Wednesday, tickets for the new multi-state game Mega Millions go on sale for the first time in the Sunshine State.
Florida joins 42 other states in the game in which drawings are held every Tuesday and Friday. Overall odds of winning a prize in the game are 1 in 40", according to lottery officials. The estimated jackpot for this Friday's drawing is $190 million.
