Poppinga: Tannehill Could Be 'Like a Phillip Rivers'
Fresh off Ryan Tannehill signing a long-term extension, a former NFL linebacker thinks the Miami Dolphins quarterback could develop into a Philip Rivers-caliber QB.
"I like the fact that they signed him now at a palpable rate because the trajectory that he is on, he's on a really nice trajectory to where he could actually turn out to be a pretty decent franchise quarterback like a Philip Rivers," Brady Poppinga said on the Big O Show on 560 WQAM. "I'm not saying he's going to be an elite guy."
