Poll: Rick Scott Is Least Popular Governor In Country
MIAMI (CBSMiami.com) – Florida Governor Rick Scott has seen his popularity drop ever since he took office.
According to new numbers from the Democratic-leaning Public Policy Polling, Scott is now the least-popular governor in the country.
According to the poll, Governor Scott has an approval rating of 26 percent and a disapproval rating of 58 percent.
The poll found that even in his own party, Scott only received a 46 percent approval and a 31 percent disapproval.
PPP found that if the 2010 election was held again today, Scott would lose by 16 points to his opponent last year, Democrat Alex Sink.
If Scott has to face Charlie Crist as a Democrat in three years, the poll found Scott would lose by 23 points.
Freshman Senator Marco Rubio has an approval and disapproval rating that's evenly split at 40 percent.
But, if Rubio was chosen as the vice-presidential nominee, 41 percent of voters in the poll said it would make them less-likely to vote for the GOP's nominee.
