Police Seek Hit & Run Driver In Fatal Motorcycle Crash
FORT LAUDERDALE (CBSMiami) – Fort Lauderdale police are searching for a hit and run driver who struck a motorcyclist and left him to die in the street.
It happened Tuesday afternoon around 3:30 p.m. in the 4500 block of North Federal Highway.
Police say David Hughes, of Plantation, was driving northbound when he was struck by a vehicle which caused Hughes to lose control of his 2009 green Kawasaki motorcycle and crash.
Hughes was rushed to Broward General Medical Center where he was later pronounced dead. Nobody else was hurt.
Witnesses have told traffic homicide investigators that the vehicle was a 2000 gold or tan 4-door Lexus with a license tag of 42LDS.
