Police Search For Patient Who Escaped Pembroke Pines Mental Hospital
PEMBROKE PINES (CBSMiami) – The search is on for a patient who escaped from the South Florida State Mental Hospital.
Pembroke Pines police said Leandro Guymaraes, 30, walked out of the facility at 800 E Cypress Drive around 11 p.m. Saturday.
Guymaraes, described as 5'9", about 140 pounds with brown hair and eyes, was last seen wearing a white shirt and khaki shorts.
He was ordered to be placed into the facility due to his Schizophrenia and previous violent tendencies. Guymaraes also has a warrant for his arrest in Miami-Dade County.
The police said he doesn't have any known family or associates in the area.
