Police Release Video Of Armed Robbers In Restaurant Robbery
MIAMI (CBSMiami) - Four armed men stormed into a Miami restaurant Sunday night pointing pistols at customers. Police say two of the four men were caught, and now they hope that newly-released security tape helps them catch the other two.
Police just released the video from Sunday's armed robbery at Ni. Do, Caffé located at 72 and Biscayne Boulevard.
Most customers, in the tape, are seen dropping to the floor.
Heat player Roger Mason Jr., a victim of the burglary, is shown on surveillance sitting at the table in the lower right corner of the screen. The burglars fled the restaurant with his Rolex, along with his sister's purse.
Two of the four men are accused of the robbery and also of leading police on a short chase before crashing into a police cruiser.
Thirty-two-year-old Rashaud Stroud, according to police, admitted to the happenings of Sunday night. Steven Dawson, 30, according to police did not admit to the crime, but detectives said that he had Mason Jr.'s stolen watch.
Two of the armed robbers remain at large. Police encourage anyone with information to contact Crime Stoppers at 305-471-TIPS.
