Police Release Name Of Woman Left For Dead After Hit & Run
MIAMI (CBSMiami) – A woman who was run over and left for dead in Miami Tuesday afternoon remains in serious condition at Jackson Memorial Hospital.
Mary Escobedo, 52, was riding in the passenger seat of pick up truck when she fell or was pushed out of the door at NW 1st Avenue and 10th Street. The driver, only described as clean shaven black male in his 30s, didn't stop and the rear tire ran over Escobedo.
Escobedo was taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital's Ryder Trauma Center where she underwent surgery.
Miami police are currently looking for the driver and the truck - a dark colored Dodge Ram with an extended cab, a missing tailgate, and several dents and scratches all over.
